In early stages, gum disease is called gingivitis. Its later more serious state is know as periodontitis. Gum disease can be treated in several ways ranging from cleaning of the teeth to surgery, but it can be prevented with regular brushing, flossing and professional cleaning.

Our office places with tooth colored composite fillings. They can be placed to restore decay or repair a chipped tooth. They can be used for front or back teeth when the restoration is small.

Implants are artificial supports surgically set in the jaw.  Adults who have healthy gums, and adequate bone to support the implant are candidates.  Our office works with the oral surgeon on the restoration of the implants.

As you age your teeth begin to darken.  a variety of factors including coffee, tea, and soda as well as smoking bring on the color changes.  The method we have the greatest success with is the take home bleaching trays.  An upper and /or lower impression is taken and a custom tray is fabricated.

Bridges

When one or more teeth are missing the teeth next to the missing tooth space can shift either by dropping, raising, or tilting.  A bridge is connected group of crowns to hold the position and replace the missing tooth.

Veneers are a very thin piece of specially shaped porcelain or ceramic that is glued over the front of your teeth.  They are most often used on teeth that are severely discolored, chipped, incorrect size or shape, or to fix a crooked smile. Usually more than one veneer is necessary to correct the above problems.

Veneers

Dentures are a set of artificial teeth the rest directly on the gums. Partial dentures are used for people with several missing teeth to restore those areas. A partial denture clasps on to the existing teeth to hold it in place inside the mouth.
